Features
- FASTING ELECTROLYTES CAPSULES: Capsules version of our best-selling Fasting Salts powder. Essential fasting electrolytes – sodium, potassium and magnesium – calibrated to support water fasts. No more guesswork or having to buy three separate products and mix them by yourself! Can also be used for Intermittent Fasting and Keto in smaller dosages.
- NO ADDITIVES, NO FLAVOURINGS, NO JUNK. The last thing you need when fasting is chemical junk! Our Fasting Salts contain ZERO flavourings, sugars, sweeteners, gluten or soy. The only ingredients are pure electrolyte salts. Includes a small amount of calcium carbonate (bulking agent to enable machine encapsulation) – also a natural electrolyte salt which will not interfere with your autophagy or ketosis in any way.
- TOP-QUALITY SOURCE INGREDIENTS: Our Fasting Salts are made from chloride and citrate forms of electrolytes for optimal absorption – instead of the more common, cheaper oxides that are harder to absorb and digest.
- 120 CAPSULES PER PACK: Compact easy-to-swallow capsules. 6 capsules are equivalent to 1 scoop of the Fasting Salts powder. Recommended daily dosages: 12-24 capsules per day for EF, 3 capsules per day for IF, 1-2 capsules per day for Keto. See below for more detailed information about dosages.
- Manufactured in an FDA-registered facility in full compliance with GMP standards. 100% genuine, pure and safe. | Also available as powder.

How to Take Fasting Salts Capsules
For Extended Fasting: Take several servings of 3 to 6 capsules throughout the day, with plenty of water (at least one 500ml glass). Do not take more than 6 capsules at a time. Absolute daily maximum for EF is 24 capsules per day.
For Intermittent Fasting: Take 2-3 capsules with a large glass of water during your fasting window.
For Keto: Take 1-2 capsules with a large glass of water if you feel the symptoms of electrolyte deficiency such as headaches, fatigue and muscle cramps. Do not take together with meals – ideally, wait for at least a few hours after eating.
IMPORTANT: Do not take without water – drink a large glass of water after taking the capsules. The product is highly concentrated and may cause digestive upset if taken without water.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Fasting Salts capsules identical to the powder formulation?Almost. We had to make two small tweaks to the Fasting Salts formulation for the capsules format: 1) Slightly reduced the amount of potassium due to FDA requirements for electrolyte capsule products 2) Added a small amount of calcium carbonate as a bulking agent to enable machine encapsulation. This ingredient is also a natural electrolyte salt and will not interfere with your autophagy or ketosis. |
Do I have to take 24 capsules per day?24 capsules per day is the maximum upper limit per day for Extended Fasting. Most people take less than that. For IF/Keto, the dosage is much smaller, up to 3 capsules per day. We are all different. Your exact electrolyte requirements depend on your genetics, lifestyle, electrolyte content of your drinking water and many other factors. That’s why we provide the guideline dosage as a range. You can find your own optimal level within that range based on how you feel. |
Can it cause digestive upset? The answer is yes – because that’s the case for ALL electrolyte supplements during fasting. Your digestive system is extremely sensitive during your fast. So even standard table salt can potentially cause digestive upset. If that happens, try reducing the dosage. IMPORTANT: Always drink at least one large glass of water when you take the capsules. |
Why did you choose magnesium citrate?Magnesium citrate is one of the preferred options for electrolyte supplementation within the fasting community. It is recommended by many experts and support groups. For us, it was the optimal choice based on its bioavailability, shelf life, ratio strength and water solubility. Magnesium citrate can have a laxative effect, but it would typically require higher dosages. |
Why are DVs in this product different to standard supplements?Daily Values (DVs) were developed for a “standard” Western diet. They are extremely generic even for that purpose, implying that “one size fits all” nutritionally – and completely off when applied to alternative WOEs like Keto and fasting. For example, many vitamins and minerals are used for digesting and metabolising macronutrients – obviously not applicable during fasting. It’s a legal requirement to include DVs on supplement labels. But they are not very meaningful when applied to fasting or Keto. |
Are Fasting Salts suitable for Keto and Intermittent Fasting? This product is designed for Extended Fasting. Many of our customers do occasional EF, then revert to IF and/or Keto as their default way of eating. So if you have some product left after your extended fast, you can continue using it in smaller dosages to support IF or Keto. If you don’t practice extended fasting at all, you can get a less concentrated product with a lower sodium content. Please check out our Keto Electrolytes capsules. |
